Objective
This is a preposition practice game played in pairs. A student hides a piece of "treasure" under a chair or table, while another student must find it by asking a series of questions using prepositions.
Instruction
Before you begin the game, make sure that you have a "treasure", which could be a sticker or a blue tack (used for hanging pictures).
1. Before you assign students to play this game in pairs, you may want to model it first with another student. Give the sticker or blue tack to a student and leave the room. The student must now look for somewhere to hide the "treasure".
2. When you come back into the room, act as if you're dumbfounded and confused. Ask "yes" or "no" questions about the hidden "treasure" - "Is it under the chairs?" (the teacher looks under the chairs), "Is it in the trash bin?" (goes to have a look in the bin) and so on.
3. When you find the "hidden treasure" have the student play the questioner's role, then break the class into pairs.
