Objective
Coffee Pot is an efl/esl conversation activity where players must substitute a verb for the words "coffee pot". Other players must try to guess what the verb is meant to be.
Instructions
1. A player begins by thinking of a verb such as "swim" and says a sentence containing that word. However, instead of using the verb "swim" in the sentence, the player substitutes it for "coffee pot." For example the sentence might be "I'm going to learn how to coffee pot this weekend."
2. The other players must now try to guess the verb. They can ask questions to help them find out about the verb, again using the words "coffee pot" as a substitute for the verb. For example, "Can you coffee pot in a car?" or "Can you eat your coffee pot?" and so on.
The first player to guess the verb is the next person to give a coffee pot sentence. However, if no one is able to correctly guess the verb, and everyone has had a turn each, the same player gets another go.
