Objective

In Giving Directions, a learner is blindfolded while another student gives directions. This is a useful esl/efl activity for teaching about directions and using prepositions.

Instructions

1. Ask a few volunteers to leave the room and to have someone blindfold them before coming back in. While the volunteers are still outside, rearrange the rooms furniture to create an obstacle course.

2. Ask the blindfolded students to come back into the room and to line up behind each other. The other learners must take turns telling the blindfolded students where to go, step-by-step, without bumping into any obstacles along the way.
