Materials: A soft ball

Objective

In Phrase Antonyms, players take turns saying an antonym and throwing a ball to other players.

Instructions

Before beginning this game you may want to explain what an antonym is (a word which is the opposite of another word - for example "day" is the opposite of "night").

1.Have players stand around in a circle. Begin the game by first saying an antonym such as "light", next throw the ball to another player. The other player must catch the ball, say the opposite word ("darkness") and throws the ball to yet another player and so on.

2. A player who drop the ball, hesitates or says the wrong antonym is out of the game. The last person standing is the winner.
