Alternatively you can ask the class to contributes an even number of rhyming words.
2. Within a set time limit, say 5 minutes, learners must write a sentences using all the chosen rhyming words. After learners have finished writing their poems, they take turns reading it out to the class.
Example:
The choosen words are "hill", "mill", "may" and "hay".
One day, Jack came up the Hill,
and saw Jill fast asleep in the Mill.
T'was 9 O'clock in May,
That the neighbors cows broke in and ate all of our hay.
Variations
Another variation of this rhyming activity is to have learners work in teams to recite a line of the poem.
