Materials: Paper and pencil

Objective

In this efl/esl writing activity, players must unscramble mixed letters to form proper sentences.

Instructions

1. Before class, prepare 5-6 sentences containing grammar or vocabulary items that you want the students to practice. Next scramble the letters then the sentence order.

Example:
"I'm having dinner."
aivngh m'i innred

For lower level students you may only want to use scrambled words, or mix the sentence order without scrambling the words.

2. Next set a time limit of say 10 minutes for the students to unscramble their words and put the sentences into the correct order. After the set time limit, go through each vocabulary item and sentence order.
