Objective
Sentence Fluency is a spelling activity and writing game. Learners write a sentence within a time limit, using as many words as possible that starts with the same letter.
Instructions
1. Each learner begins with a piece of paper and pen.
2. Select a letter at radom and tell your class to write this letter at the top of their paper. Next tell them the type of writing that you want i.e poem, news report, letter etc.
3. Next give a time limit, and when everyone is ready say "go"!
4. After the alloted time, get learners to mark each others paper. You may want to give a prize to the learner who uses the most words for that given letter, or for the person who writes the best article.
Variations
Use this activity to practice word spelling, vocabulary, grammar or a particular writing style.
